McSaints

I was gonna rant about a recent ad I saw for the new McDonalds Pasta Zoo happy meals, but just read a good article on smh that sums up my thoughts.

We see things very differently to our children. When you see a trip to McDonalds, they see an unmissable magical adventure.

This may be true… but is it a good thing?

I think it’s true that kids see what adults don’t. They look at the world in some crazy ways, but that doesn’t mean that what McD’s says in the ad is true.

I don’t remember the ad word for word, but when they say something like “.. you’ll see a nutritious option for dinner” it makes me want to barf. If I want a nutritious option for dinner, I’ll go home after buying some fresh veggies and cook the bastard myself!

:D no, what they say in the ad is completely correct – what’s frustrating is that they know it, and they advertise directly to children, rather than to parents (via things like happy meals).

I agree, some fresh broccoli is the only way!
